Dans la nature, les aras se nourrissent en bandes. Sa longé</span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">vité et de 12 ans (20 ans en captivité). C'est le </span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">seul félin dont les griffes ne sont pas rétractiles. Il est capable de courir à 110 kms/h sur une distance de 500 mètres.
